We're excited that you are considering applying to the AVODAH program. Before you begin the process of applying please remember that you should meet ALL of the following criteria:
You will be between the ages of 21-26 at the start of the program year in August, 2016.
You are authorized to work in the United States.
You are able to participate in the program, including the residential component, for a full year.
Important Dates to Remember
Application Deadline: The next application cutoff is Monday, April 11th at 12pm Eastern Time. If there are positions still available after that date, the next cutoff will be announced and the application will roll until all positions are filled.
Interviews: Beginning in March 2016 for the next round of applications, and continue on rolling basis until all positions are filled.
Matching Process: Starting in March 2016 and continuing until all positions are filled.
To Begin the Process of Applying
Hit "Apply" below, and you will be asked to supply basic contact information and create an account with a Username and Password.
Once logged in, you will be able to fill out the online application form. The application consists of several sections, including short essay questions. You will also be asked to submit a resume, a photo, and three references.
AVODAH will send an e-mail requesting references on your behalf to the individuals you indicate in your application. We encourage you to contact your references prior to entering their contact information in the application so they will expect our e-mail. Please complete that part of the application as early as possible so your references will be completed in a timely fashion.
Please ensure your references are acceptable to AVODAH. The following are acceptable to use as references:
Someone who supervised you when you held either a paid or volunteer position, such as any type of full-time or part-time job, a summer internship or internship during the school year, teaching assistant position, etc.
Someone who served in a leadership role such as a short-term service trip leader or a professional who served as a student group advisor.
The following are not acceptable to use as references:
Family members or close family friends
Professors, academic advisors, or teachers unless they know you in a supervisory capacity
After you complete each page hit “Save & Continue” before moving on to the next section. Your application will be saved and you can return to it as many times as you like before officially submitting it.
